Our  Story

Eric- has an extensive background in waste management.

In 2017 Eric walked from Calgary, Alberta (YIKES! yes walked !!) to start a new journey in his life.

During this walk Eric saw many aluminum cans and plastic bottles on the side of the Trans-Canada highway.

Due to the number of cans and bottles Eric saw it became a passion of his to do his part in the recycling of these products!

Eric has conducted in depth research into the environmental footprint that is left when aluminum cans and plastic bottles are disposed of without thought!

Kathryn has been in business for over 30 years and is a business gradate from Vancouver Community College.
She is a designated Human Resources professional and has held this designation for the past 12 years.
Kathryn is a member of the CPHR Association.

Kathryn is a survivor of both cancer and of the Sea to Sky Highway!

In 2017 Kathryn was thrown onto the S2S highway at 130 km's from the back of a motorcycle and survived. Eleven months later she was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer.

Kathryn has a passion for the environment that she works and plays in!

She wants to do her part in keeping both our ocean and land environments safe from discarded waste and recyclables.

Eric and Kathryn came together in 2021 and formed their business GOT CANS with the hopes of contributing to the full recycling cycle of aluminum cans, bottles, all milk and nut milk holders, plus glass beverage containers.

Both Eric and Kathryn have had to access not for profit agencies for personal reasons and they both have a passion in supporting the many Sea to Sky charities.

GOT CANS is always looking for new and exciting opportunities to reduce waste from going into our landfills and water ways.

Let us save you time and energy!

Let us assist you in donating to a deserving local charity without opening your cheque book!
